Vibe Coding
Building software primarily by prompting AI rather than writing code line by line.
Vibe coding is the 2025 term for the new way people build software: describe what you want, let the AI write it, run it, iterate based on the result. The phrase was popularized by Andrej Karpathy and quickly became shorthand for the workflow.
In its purest form, vibe coding produces working prototypes from non-engineers in hours. In its richer form used by senior engineers it pairs strong AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt) with traditional engineering rigor: tests, types, code review, architectural judgment.
